6.1 Website operation, hosting and technical delivery
We process technical and usage data to load pages, route traffic, maintain sessions, remember preferences, display content, prevent service disruption, and operate the Website securely. This may involve hosting providers, content delivery networks, infrastructure providers, security providers, and development tools.
6.2 Contact forms and communications
When you contact us, we process the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, handle requests, manage business communications, resolve complaints, and maintain records of our correspondence. We may use email, customer-support, CRM, ticketing, or productivity providers for these purposes.
6.3 Accounts, saved brokers and user preferences
If account features are available, we process account data to register you, authenticate you, manage access, store saved broker lists, maintain watchlists, remember alert settings, and personalize the Website experience. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and confidential.

You can unsubscribe from non-essential marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us.
6.6 Broker reviews, user feedback and complaints

We take reasonable steps to supervise and improve such systems, but AI-assisted outputs may contain errors and should be independently verified where important.
7. Broker matching, scoring, monitoring and profiling
Safegate Advisors may use your questionnaire answers, preferences, Website interactions, saved brokers, and alert settings to personalize informational outputs, such as broker matches, broker rankings, safety alerts, comparison lists, watchlists, and educational recommendations.
This may involve profiling within the meaning of GDPR, because our systems may evaluate preferences or behavior to generate a more relevant result. The profiling is designed to improve informational relevance and does not constitute investment advice, a financial recommendation, credit scoring, broker account approval, or a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
You may choose not to provide optional questionnaire answers, may delete saved preferences where account tools allow, and may contact us to object to profiling based on legitimate interests where applicable. If you object, some personalized features may not function properly.

- Moderation: we may review, edit, redact, reject, remove, restrict, or investigate user-generated content to enforce our Terms, protect users, prevent fraud, or comply with law.
- Confidentiality: do not include confidential broker account details, passwords, full financial account numbers, private documents, government ID documents, or personal data of third parties unless expressly required and transmitted through an appropriate channel.
- Evidence and legal claims: where a complaint or review raises fraud, abuse, regulatory, legal, or safety issues, we may retain relevant records for a longer period if needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims or cooperate with authorities.
11. International transfers
Safegate Advisors is established in Romania. Personal data may be processed in Romania, the European Economic Area, and other countries where our service providers, partners, or infrastructure are located.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or another jurisdiction that requires transfer safeguards, we use appropriate lawful mechanisms where required, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, contractual commitments, supplementary safeguards, or other permitted transfer mechanisms.
You may contact us to request information about the safeguards used for relevant international transfers.
12. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, necessary for security, required for tax/accounting records, or needed for legal claims. Actual retention may differ depending on the feature, applicable law, user settings, and technical constraints.
| Data category | Typical retention approach |
|---|---|
| Account data | For as long as the account remains active, then for a reasonable period after closure for security, legal, and operational purposes, unless deletion is required sooner. |
| Broker matching and preference data | Until you delete the data, close the account, change preferences, or the data is no longer needed for personalization, analytics, or service improvement. |
| Contact and support communications | For the period needed to respond and maintain records, usually up to 3 years unless a longer period is needed for legal, regulatory, or dispute purposes. |
| Newsletter and safety alert subscriptions | Until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, after which limited suppression records may be retained to respect your opt-out. |
| User reviews, complaints and public content | While published or needed for moderation, review integrity, legal claims, public-interest reporting, or safety monitoring. Removed content may be retained in restricted form where necessary. |
| Analytics data | For the period configured in the analytics tool, after which it may be aggregated, anonymized, or deleted. |
| Security logs and fraud-prevention data | For a reasonable period needed to protect the Website, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, and preserve evidence. |
| Payment, invoice and tax records if paid services are introduced | For the period required by accounting, tax, consumer protection, and legal obligations. |
| Consent records and cookie preferences | For as long as needed to demonstrate consent status and comply with privacy laws. |
Where possible, we anonymize or aggregate data so it can no longer identify you, in which case it may be used for research, statistics, service improvement, and methodology development without further notice.
13. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, and destruction. Measures may include access controls, encryption where appropriate, logging, backups, vendor due diligence, confidentiality commitments, security monitoring, and internal procedures.
